Mar 22, 2011 (SmarTrend News Watch via COMTEX) -- Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) announced this morning the launch of its highly anticipated BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, which will be available at more than 20,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
The Playbook will go on sale April 19th across North America, and start at a base price of $499, the same as the market dominating iPad. Best Buy will begin taking pre-orders for the product immediately.

The tablet will be able to stream HD video on a 7-inch high resolution screen. It will offer uncompromised web browsing support with Adobe Flash Player 10.1, true multitasking, advanced security features, and out of the box enterprise support as well as a robust development environment.
Research In Motion has a potential upside of 15.4% based on a current price of $63.18 and an average consensus analyst price target of $72.89.
Research In Motion is currently below its 50-day moving average (MA) of $63.90 and should find support at its 200-day MA of $56.37.
In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has remained constant while the 200-day MA has remained constant.
