Google launches a service to search for missing Japanese

This morning an earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale shook Japan. The epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean about 130 km offshore. The earthquake triggered a tsunami that hit the coasts of the island of Honshu. The coastal city of Sendai is the most affected, it is found between 300 and 400 bodies probably drowned. Waves over 10 meters high are sometimes covered entire neighborhoods. The panic and win the Japanese telephone networks are saturated or very disturbed by the many people seeking to join relatives or call for help. Twitter is used by several people to communicate in an emergency. Google has decided to help the Japanese and Japan launches Person Finder service.
Through this site the Japanese can type the name of a person to find it. A new page will open where he was asked to fill out more specific information (address, description, photo) and to clarify the status of the person, what place she was at the time of the tragedy and whether or not there has been Contact this person about the disaster.
The service relies on the assistance of Internet to provide maximum information on the people around them. The search engine giant will he offer the same service for the small Pacific islands are also threatened? We hope that this is not necessary.
