Google will test its NFC payment solution in the U.S. next summer

The U.S. giant is expected to begin his experience in real conditions in New York and San Francisco by installing NFC-enabled payment terminals in shops.

According to information obtained by Bloomberg, Google reportedly plans to test an NFC payment solution within four months.

The test will be in the United States in New York and San Francisco. Google will fund the installation of thousands of payment terminals, NFC brand VeriFone from merchants volunteers.

Users with NFC-enabled smartphone can then pay for their purchases as they approached their terminal payment terminal.

Bloomberg did not specify whether the experiment will concern only Android smartphones. The Nexus O is equipped with an NFC chip and the version 2.3 of Google operating system natively supports this technology.

If information were to arise, Google would take a head start against rivals including Apple. According to the latest information, the Cupertino company has decided not to integrate NFC technology in its next iPhone.

Apple board even on its own standard to provide a system which would have complete control. (Eureka Media)
