Updated Redsn0w For iOS 4.3.3 May Fix Battery Drain Issue

Earlier today, iPhone Dev team released updated versions of Redsn0w andPwnageTool, while iH8sn0w released an updated version of Sn0wbreeze that includes a fix for the side switch vibration issue.
Dev team and iH8sn0w acknowledged that iPhone hacking expert Stefan Essar (Twitter handle - i0n1c) had figured out a way to fix the issue.Stefan Essar has also revealed that the fix may also decrease the battery drain that you may have observed afterjailbreaking your iOS device with Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15, PwnageTool 4.3.3 or Sn0wbreeze 2.7.
He has provided the following information about the fix on Twitter:
BTW: by using the latest RedSw0w you also might decrease the battery drain.
Process Priority was not restored after the kernel exploit. That might have caused some battery drain.
So if you have jailbroken your iOS device using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15, PwnageTool 4.3.3 or Sn0wbreeze 2.7 then you can install the fix simply by running Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16 (download links available in this post) over the iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak but remember to uncheck the “Install Cydia” option.
If you’ve used the latest version of the jailbreak tools such asRedsn0w 0.9.6rc16, PwnageTool 4.3.3.1 or Sn0wbreeze 2.7.1 then you don’t need to worry as the issue is already fixed.
As always, let us know if the battery drain is reduced after installing the fix using the latest version of Redsn0w.
