IPAD: magazines and newspapers denounced the conditions of Apple

Considered exorbitant, the conditions enforced on the iPad by Apple as part of the marketing of subscriptions and titles are openly criticized by several newspapers and magazines. While the shelf giant apple is almost inevitable, we must also recognize that the conditions imposed on online media are almost unbearable.

Reacting to the measures taken in mid-February by Apple, the editors of magazines and online newspapers in France have shown in their entirety that Apple is acting "against them." A long list of points of discontent has even been drawn up by the press syndicate magazine to Apple in an open letter. Among the objections raised against Apple include the desire to control the data, revenue sharing and tax rates. If the purchase price of 1.59, 1.29 and 0.79 euros charged for the price of a stock does not meet the approval of the editors of online media, the removal of 30% on every transaction by the customer are too important while the grip on the customer database does not allow publishers to properly conduct their advertising and marketing. A situation badly by the publishers is that the buyer must pay only by using the Purchase Apple In App. These points are essential for publishers who understand French are no conditions dictated by the U.S. giant, even if they are aware of its hegemony in the field of tablet computers.
Of the 435,000 tablets sold in 2010, Apple has earned the lion's share. In 2011, the firm continues its momentum and could even triple sales with the arrival on the market Ipad 2 which are filled with unmatched functionality. Despite Apple's tendency to centralize its operations at its headquarters in Silicon Valley, the French publishers intend to negotiate fiercely in order to obtain favorable terms. In their struggle, publishers have asked the European Commission through its services from the competition. Thus, the giant apple could be called to order by Brussels for abuse of dominant position.
It should be noted that many results have been obtained. Publishers now have the flexibility to sell subscriptions Ipad directly on their platforms. It can also keep customer data and the entire amount of the transaction if the customer accesses the App Store through a site other than Apple.
